Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onesti] Romania). She was first to achieve a perfect 10 at an Olympic celebration. Bela Karalyi discovered Comaneci at age six. She would later become Romania's gymnastics instructor. She began competing in the national junior championships in 1969, finishing 13th. She did well in the 1970 competition. In 1972, at the communist nations' meet for junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she won 3 gold and silver medals. And in 1973, and 1974 she became the champion of all juniors. She beat the Russian Lyudmila Torishcheva. The five-time European champion, at her first senior international competition held in the year 1975. At this competition, she received four golds, and a silver. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first woman to attempt a backward double salto as dismounting off the barres that are not parallel. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her journey in the entertainment industry began during her teens when she began performing as a figure skater along with her sister Nina Wayne as part of the show that travels known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol began her career in the entertainment business in her teens. As a young girl she started her career as Figure Skating Performer alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. They featured ice-skating shows that included theatre performances.
