Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on 20th August, 1974 in Aviano, Italy). American actress. Known for playing naive delightful characters. Adams was one of seven siblings that grew up as a child in the city of Castle Rock, Colorado. She was born while her father worked for the U.S. Military in Italy. At the end of the 1990s, she started to act and dance professionally with Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. She then moved to a regional theatre located in Minnesota which was where she got her first role in a documentary mock-up about beauty pageants Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). Following her successful screen debut, in which she played an annoying but pleasant contestant, Janet relocating into Los Angeles where she began a professional acting career. Between June 1951 and September of 1962, she got wed to actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh started her career in film when she signed an MGM contract in the mid-1940s. The actress was discovered through actress Norma Shearer. Leigh was a star in a variety of popular films during the following decade, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from 1960) and Living It Up (1954), starring Martin Lewis.
